A person who knows of the circumstances of the death must first register a death with the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages.

It’s necessary to get consent from the local authority to allow the burial to take place.

All human body parts which come within the definition of “clinical waste” and as such cannot be disposed of except under the provisions of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 and the Environment Protection Act 1990.

In many cases a licensed operator is required, but in some circumstances the requirement may be waived.

Dispose of controlled waste in accordance with the Acts.
